During the initial conversion I removed both of the door courtesy lights as they were in the way of the ceiling paneling etc. I wanted to eventually restore some of that functionality to have a small light turn on when opening the door. I used a fairly bright yellow LED (bug free) and put it just inside the slider. I then took and cut off the matching connector from the factory light and fished out the factory wiring harness. I added a switch to maintain the ability to have it switched with the door, always on, or always off. Works fine, especially when driving and stopping for something etc, but when camped it does timeout when the vehicle canbus shuts down, so the light does not always work, but it’s a nice touch still.
